Halloween Product Designs- Kid Friendly

Halloween Product Designs- Kid Friendly
Halloween is my favorite holiday to design for. I love the color palettes, the variety of directions Halloween product can go in, and the spooky energy I tap into when designing for Halloween.  Halloween lines at Department 56 usually fall into two broad categories- kid friendly or slightly scary. I can't decide which I like better. All design and artwork is by me, unless otherwise noted.
for Department 56
I was aiming for a new spin on folk art when creating these characters.  We called this line "Heebie Jeebies". These are designs for ceramic appetizer plates.
A few years back, we had a popular licensed artist line at Department 56 called "Krinkles".  We would be given 2d watercolor art and need to turn it into 3D products. In this case, I needed to think of a novel way to use the Krinkles characters as Halloween tabletop items.  I came up with this take on a rat salt and pepper set, among other items. This item is still seen in stores 7 years after the intro.
Large Paper Pulp Display Witches- 4 feet tall.
A Frankenstein salt and pepper.
An innovative salt and pepper shaker featuring magnets that hold the ghost parts to the window.
This is a line that was generated from licensed artwork. I designed all of the products in this photo, excluding the cider server.
This line used licensed 2D artwork that I used to design all of the products in this photo.
I probably designed at least 25 spreader sets while at Department 56. I think this one is my favorite.
